Our English drama Vijaya Victoria will explore the lasting friendship that developed between the Nobel-laureate world poet Rabindranath Tagore and the Argentine cultural icon Victoria Ocampo - during Tagore's trip to Argentina in 1924. In this trip, a young Brit, Leonard Elmhirst, an agronomist, had accompanied Tagore as his honorary secretary. Our drama will explore his lasting friendship with Ocampo as well. And as is inevitable when we involve Tagore ( an outstanding lyricist and composer), there will be poetry....and music...and dance.... and ..... we better leave it up to you, the viewer, to experience it all !
Please note that it is mandatory to present proof of vaccination in all City of Rockville public premises and this one is no exception. You may bring your vaccination card or a clear photo of the front and back of your card and be able to present that before being admitted to the auditorium. Please also bring a photo ID such as a Driver's License. Wearing a mask is not mandated but strongly suggested. Thanks for understanding.
