The Southeastern Council of Fly Fishers International is proud to offer a casting clinic hosted by the Atlanta Fly Fishing Club. Hone your accuracy, distance, and other skills for fresh and salt species. Instructors will be on-site to provide one-on-one assistance, and the Atlanta Fly Fishing Club will provide lunch and drinks. River access is also nearby for those who would like to try out their new skills on some fish after the clinic. Only twenty spaces are available so sign up now! Bring your favorite fly rod, and meet us there at 9:45AM ET. Anglers must have some experience with casting and bring their own rod (at least 5 wt) equipped with reel, line and leader.
There will also be opportunities for casters to be awarded the Bronze, Silver, or Gold level FFi Casting Awards. If you are unfamiliar with the casting skills awards, go to the Skills and Drills page on the FFi website. Click on the Quick Reference Guide for a pdf with the list of requirements for each award level. Also on that page you should print the confirmation sheet for the level award which you hope to earn (your FFi membership must be in good standing for the award to be recorded). We will have extra sheets, but it will speed things up if you fill in your info in advance. Instruction from 10-noonish, with lunch/refreshments served after the clinic. Plan to stay a little extra if you are testing for an award. This event is free and open to all FFI members. $35 for non-members or join FFI for $35 (click here to join).
